If a shower is not working with the force it once had, it may be time to give it a good clean. The reduction of pressure in a shower is often due to the build-up of limescale, which can be easily removed using our step-by-step guide.
You start by removing the shower head from the shower hose.
Gently lift the spray plate from the shower head and remove it.
Prepare a bowl full of the descaling solution as per the instructions provided with it. Place the spray plate in the bowl of solution and leave it there for the duration specified on the instructions provided with the solution.
When the soaking period is complete, rinse the shower head thoroughly to remove any remaining solution and lime scale residue.
Put the shower head back together and reattach it to the shower hose. Well done! You have now successfully cleaned your shower head. Your shower can be used straight away after completion.
